Slindon 7th March National

Post by Baleno_styling » Sat Feb 20, 2010 8:33 am

I will be there setting up standard class e.g. the non damaging easier stuff. Want to get an idea of poss no's coming down.

So who's coming?

Want to get all sections laid out before hand so packing up will be quicker as I'd quite like to do a shoot with a model :P Anyone coming with a 'pretty' car. Neil can we get away with tastfull model pics in the mag if I was to send some in? Bring a bit of glam to the offroad scene.

I'm coming down.

I think my car's fairly pretty but won't the model get a bit muddy ? or is she going to wear water proofs.

hi Mark,
The national rounds are usually AVT and Modified sections with the modified running seperately on five gate promod style sections. There aren't dedicated SVT sections as per the ASR. I've got you down as clerking the AVT. if thats a problem let me know. SVTs are welcome along but the sections will be ten gaters.ps Matt Dix has volunteered to asssist you.

Unlike Halnaker there is a new posh cafe on site. Ken and I will be camping down there the night before. take my number with you if you come early as i usually have to keep the road gates shut.

I really need to get the vision of your dad in a bikini out of my head.............

I can't get the hang of this avt, group A or B. I'm use to Standards or Modified class. I know I've put my name down so will help anyway that I can.

Good news though, a mate of mine will be coming along (joining the club) on the day.

Dad. In a bikini or mankini. Let me be the first to say E W W W W

Was thinking something more along the lines of this - http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3064/256 ... f99a_b.jpg

Matt - thank you for extra hands, its all welcome. Nick depends how well it goes. If shoot goes badly then the big pond will be a suitable wash basin. I've never had a bad shoot yet but still like the idea of the pond wash basin.

Nick - As much as I wanted to camp, I'm only 15mins down the road and was collared by the other half. Will be down there Sat setting up. Ready to run around like a headless chicken on Sunday hopefully with company, fingers crossed its sunny day.

Camera doesn't like the rain that much!

Steve - out of the 2 I know which I find more appealing and it doesn't envolve a mankini.

As said I will come and help but as it is a 2 and a half hour drive I won't be there until 12. If you think you will have mostly finished by then I will arrive later

I'll be ther from 10.30 ish onwards Nick.
Will be bringing tent myself after finding mouse holes all through my goretex bivi bag yesterday in the workshop. Out went the rat traps and revenge was successfully reaped overnight.

I'll do it, I'll do it!

Sorry..........my car will do it, my car will do it

KAM are fitting the locker and will not be able to pick it up until Friday morning next week. Then I have to get back to Gloucester. I have asked them to do all but the wiring so may need the Saturday to do this putting a blank on coming down Saturday.

If it will only take them an hour or so to do the wiring I may get them to do it.

I will be at Slindon and can give Splatt a wash if you want pictures :P

Surely under the upcoming rule changes the person stood in front of the Jimny would have to wear overalls, Nomex balaclava and full-face helmet. Maybe its the (real) Stig
