Good news! New Challenge event Walters Arena 15/16 November

AWDC Timed Challenge Event
“Driven to the Edge”

Walter’s Arena weekend of 15th/16th November 2014

The All Wheel Drive Club will be running a Clubman’s Timed Challenge event at Walter’s Arena. The event has been designed for competitors who want to test their skills at an event that combines traditional challenge sections with speed sections. Each lap will run over approximately 8 miles of some of the best off-roading in the UK, including the famous rock climbs.

The event will run over a day and a half. No pre-qualifying is needed and the event will not be about top speed either. It is a back to basics competition for all levels of experience and vehicle type and the event will be run under permit from the MSA. The event is designed to offer value for money and it will include several new features not used in previous events.

Full details will be published in the few weeks on the All Wheel Drive Club website (www.awdc.co.uk) and in the All Wheel Driver magazine and “yellow pages”.

For further details please contact either Chris Bowler 07989 966740 or Gwen Adair on 07979 010332.

Just to let you know a few more details. The entry fee will be £160 for the weekend. We have a draft route already and will be working on the finer details over the next couple of months. The focus on the event is on the competition side so there will be no frills like bands, bars or hog roasts. There will be the basics such as a catering van and loos. We will put the regs (both technical and event regs on the website) as soon as we can but obviously the event is going to be run under the MSA and Blue Book. We'll keep you updated.
